About Dr. Andrea Joy Smith, DDS, DICOI

Dr. Andrea Joy Smith has dedicated over 30 years to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through her dental practice, Dr. Andrea Joy Smith, DDS. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UCLA, Dr. Smith graduated from the UCSF School of Dentistry in 1994, beginning a career defined by clinical excellence, continuing education, and a commitment to advancing modern dentistry.

Dr. Smith is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists (ICD), an invitation-only professional honor recognizing outstanding achievement, leadership, integrity, and service to the dental profession and community. Fellowship in the ICD is awarded to fewer than three percent of dentists in the United States. She is also a Life Member of the American Dental Association (ADA), recognizing more than 30 consecutive years of membership and continued commitment to organized dentistry.

With a particular focus on dental implantology, TMJ-related disorders, and orofacial pain, Dr. Smith has developed extensive experience in advanced dental procedures, including one-piece dental implants, implant overdentures, and therapeutic Botox treatments for TMJ and orofacial pain. Her commitment to advanced clinical training has allowed her to incorporate innovative techniques into patient care while continuing to expand her knowledge throughout her career.

Beyond her commitment to patient care, Dr. Smith is a passionate dental educator, mentor, author, and speaker. Through Dental Practice Mastery, she teaches specialized courses including Botox for Dentists and the One-Piece Implant Overdenture Course, sharing her clinical knowledge and experience with other dental professionals. She also provides individualized mentorship, traveling to dental practices to offer hands-on guidance, clinical instruction, and support.
