Dr. Andrea Joy Smith to Present Oral Conscious Sedation Lecture at Sacramento Society of the National Dental Association General Meeting

Lecture Will Focus on Expanding Patient Access to Comfortable Dental Care Through Oral Conscious Sedation While Honoring Graduating Dental Students in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, CA • ACCESS Newswire • May 7, 2026 • Dr. Andrea Joy Smith, DDS, will serve as the featured presenter during the Sacramento Society of the National Dental Association's upcoming general meeting on May 28, 2026, where she will provide a lecture focused on oral conscious sedation.
The Sacramento Society of the National Dental Association is a chapter of the National Dental Association, which supports dental professionals through education, networking, advocacy, and community engagement. The organization holds monthly meetings designed to educate and enlighten members and participants within the dental community.
Dr. Smith's presentation will focus on oral conscious sedation and its role in helping patients receive dental treatment in a more comfortable setting.
"This topic is very near and dear to my heart because I have been providing sedation dentistry to my patients since 2005 and regularly perform two to three sedation visits each week," said Dr. Andrea Joy Smith, DDS. "I am excited to speak with fellow dental professionals about oral conscious sedation and the importance of expanding access to care for patients who experience fear and anxiety related to dental treatment. My goal is to help spread awareness about ways dentists can create a more comfortable experience for patients who may otherwise avoid receiving the care they need."
In addition to the educational presentation, the event will include recognition and congratulations for graduating seniors from the student chapter of the Sacramento dental society, as well as all dental students graduating this summer.
The meeting is scheduled to take place on May 28, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Maestro Coffee Shop, located at 2069 Arena Blvd., Suite 130, Sacramento, California 95834.
