Align Technology has appointed iRhythm Technologies CEO Quentin Blackford to its Board of Directors as longtime director Andrea Saia prepares to retire in September.

Before joining iRhythm, Blackford served as Chief Operating Officer of Dexcom, where he was involved in global operations, corporate strategy and international expansion. He previously held senior finance and leadership roles at NuVasive and Zimmer Holdings.

Blackford also serves on the Board of Directors of Alphatec Holdings and is an inactive Certified Public Accountant. He holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from Grace College.
Saia has served on Align Technology’s board since 2013. During her 13-year tenure, she participated in oversight of the company’s strategy, governance and long-term growth initiatives.

Align increased the size of its board to 11 directors following Blackford’s appointment. After Saia retires in September, the board will return to 10 members.
Blackford will also be included among the company’s director nominees for Align Technology’s 2027 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.
Align Technology develops and manufactures the Invisalign clear aligner system, iTero intraoral scanners and exocad CAD/CAM software used in digital orthodontics and restorative dentistry.
